Breathitt County Attractions


The Breathitt County Heritage Fair began in October of 2005. It was formed as a celebration of years past and to share the rich history of Breathitt County. Such stars as the Kentucky Headhunters & Ty Herndon have participated in the Heritage Fair events. It is truly an event for the entire family!


Douthitt Park is one of the premier parks in eastern Kentucky. Nestled beside the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River, and set in the valley of beautiful hills of Jackson Kentucky, Douthitt Park has hundreds of visitors everyday. Douthitt Park has a soccer field, Softball field, a childrens' playground, basketball courts, and a 8 tenths of a mile walking track.


Panbowl Lake is one of the most peaceful around. Great fishing and relaxation can be had by everyone.
