¹⁵And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

¹⁶And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

¹⁷Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

¹⁸And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

^{1: 1}Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Comments: God says when we come out of the world and sin then he will be our Father and we can be his sons and daughters. If we refuse to come out and choose to live in sin and worldliness then there is no way he can receive us. We should cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit (by our faith in the blood of Christ, being washed by the water of the Word, being filled with the Holy Ghost, obedience and righteous living, walking in the Spirit, etc). We can have perfect holiness in the fear of God we let God cleanse of from all sin and help us stay free from sin through Christ alone.

Jesus Christ is the one true Messiah
Prophecies and fulfillment of prophecies concerning the  promised Messiah:
All of these were fulfilled in Christ:
1.      Promise of a seed which would come from woman to bruise the head of Satan: Genesis 3:15; fulfilled according to Galatians 4:4.
2.      The seed of Abraham: Genesis 12:3 fulfilled according to Matthew 1:1.
3.      Seed of Isaac: Genesisn17:19; fulfilled according to Luke 3:34.
4.      Messiah would be from tribe of Judah: Genesis 49:10; fulfilled according to Luke 3:33.
5.      Messiah would be of the seed of Jacob: Numbers 24:17; fulfilled according to Matthew 1:2.
6.      Messiah would be born of a virgin: Isaiah 7:14; fulfilled according to Luke 1:26, 27, 30, 31.
7.      Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2; fulfilled according to Luke 2:4,5, 7,
8.      Time of the Messiah’s birth; Daniel 9:25; fulfilled according to Luke 2:1-2.
9.      Slaughter of innocent babies in an attempt to kill the Messiah is prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15 and fulfilled according to Matthew 2:16-18.
10.  Flight into Egypt: Hosea 1:1; fulfilled in Matthew 2:14, 15.
11.  Messiah would be preceded by a forerunner; Malachi 3:1; fulfilled according to Luke 7:24, 27.
12.  Messiah declared the Son of God; Psalms 2:7; fulfilled in Matthew 3:17.
13.  Galilean Ministry of the Messiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:1-2; fulfilled in Matthew 4; 13-16.
14.  Messiah would be a prophet; Deut 18:15; fulfilled according to Acts 3:20-22.
15.  Messiah would heal the broken-hearted according to Isaiah 61:1,2; fulfilled in Luke 4:18-19.
16.  Messiah would be rejected by his own people according to Isaiah 53:3; fulfilled John 1:11 and Luke 23:18.

30.  Messiah would pray for his enemies according to Psalms 109:4; fulfilled Luke 23:34.
31.  Soldiers would gamble for his coat; Psalms 22:17, 18; fulfilled in Matthew 27:35, 36.
32.  None of his bones would be broken; Psalms 34:20; fulfilled in John 19:32, 33, 36.

34.  Buried with the rich; Isaiah 53:9; fulfilled Matthew 27: 57-60.
35.  Was to be resurrected; Ps. 16:10; Ps. 49:15; fulfilled Mark 16:6, 7.
36.  Ascension to God’s right hand; Ps. 68:18; fulfilled Mark 16:19; 1 Cor. 15:4; Eph. 4:8.
