May 28, 2010 (Dusk) – Candle-Light Roll Call at Douthitt Park honoring Breathitt County Fallen Military.  If you are a relative of someone one who died during war times while serving in the U.S. Military, your presence is requested at this ceremony.  Please contact Ervine Allen at 666-7973.   Also, photos of these men in uniform are needed by the Breathitt County Museum, 666-4159.

The all-star games will feature some of the top boys and girls players in the Commonwealth from the 8th-16th  regions. There will be seven different games ranging from underclassmen boys and girls to seniors boys and girls. At 6:15, will be the Mountain Ford slam-dunk contest followed by the KRMC three point shootout. The East KY All- Star game is the premiere sporting event for basketball fans in the area. James Turner and Scott Holland are the co-directors of the East KY All-Star game and is presented by JET2Sports.

For those who’ve never been to Bethel Camp before, this is a great opportunity to check out the camp facility and get to know some of the kids who come every summer to Bethel Camp.  It’s a chance to make some new friends before summer camp begins and get a taste of what a whole week of camp is like.  Many of the usual camp games and activities, like “Capture the Flag”, are sure to be part of the weekend’s adventure.
The $35 registration fee includes three meals on Saturday and two on Sunday, housing in the cabins and all activities.  Be sure to bring sleeping bags and good outdoor shoes for all the games and outdoor events.  Worship time, Bible study and preaching, as well as a sneak peek at the summer theme will all be part of the retreat.
