Ralph Eugene Campbell, 78, of New Richmond, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Mercy Hospital-Anderson Cincinnati, OH.

He was born May 06, 1933 in San Diego, California and was the son of the late Henry and Melissa Francis Campbell.  He was preceded in death by son: Kevin Allen Campbell.

Survivors include: wife: Joyce Allen Campbell of New Richmond, OH

Daughter:  DeAnn Marie (John) Pierce

Brother:  Wilbur D. (Ophelia) Campbell.

Richard Dale Back, 51, went home with Jesus, Wed., Jan. 25, at his home at Noctor following a heart attack.  He is survived by one son:  Roman Dale Back of Somerset; his mother:   Maxine Back of Noctor;  two brothers:  Ray D. Oscar Deaton, 68, of Rt. l. Booneville, KY departed this earthly life on Wed. Jan.18, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was born  March 25, 1943   in Breathitt Co.     and was the son of the late Ray and Berta Riley Deaton. Former truck driver for Empire Gas and US Army Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Lizzie Keene Deaton.   One sister: Mae Bowling and one brother Doc Deaton.

Buddy Little, 55, of West Manchester, OH and formerly of Breathitt Co., KY passed away on Wed. January 18, 2012.  He was born March 13, 1956 in Owsley Co. E J Hensley, 81, of Noctor, KY departed this earthly life on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was born Dec. 11, 1929 in Breathitt County and was the son of the late Albert and Eva Hudson Hensley.  He was a Veteran of the US Air Force.  He was preceded in death by one son: Michael Wayne Hensley. One sister: Imogene Lehman and two brothers: Paul and Harold Hensley.

She was a former school teacher for the Breathitt Co. Bennie Frazier, 81, Middletown, Ohio departed this earthly life Aug. 31, 2011.  He was born Sept. 24, 1929 in Breathitt County and was the son of the late Algie and Ida Back Frazier.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina M. Frazier;  a grandson, Doug Frazier; three brothers, Willis Frazier, Wilford Frazier and Charles Edward Frazier.  He is survived by two daughters, Sue Lewis of Middletown, Ohio and Debbie Lee of Middletown, Ohio;  two sons, Ray Frazier of Middletown, Ohio and Gary Frazier of Middletown, Ohio;  two brothers, Mack(Bertie) Frazier of Noctor and John F. Hermon Miller, 73, Clayhole passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, at his residence.  He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. He worked for the Breathitt County School System at Caney School and Marie Roberts Caney School for eleven years.  He was the son of the late Harvey Miller and Leatha Campbell Miller.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Glen “PeeWee” Miller, two brothers, Talbert Miller and Edward Miller;  seven sisters,  Ellen Campbell, Dulce Campbell, Pearlie Sullivan, Lula Smith, Nell Coomer, Ola Faye Rhoden and Nola Mae Neace.  He is survived by his wife, Ronie Mae Miller of Clayhole;  two daughters, Leatha and husband, J.R. Ruby Joyce Fugate Sizemore, 65, Southfork passed away Wed., Aug. 31, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

LUTHER WRIGHT -  May 6, 1925 – July 11, 2011 – Luther Wright, a machinist, who worked at Rockwell for many years, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 in Brawley, CA.Mr. Wright worked in the Aerospace Industry on rockets for NASA programs. He was born in Knott County on May 6, 1925 to Auburn and Miriam Russell -Wright.   Luther was peoceded in death by his parents, sisters, Arminda Gilbert, Leona Spencer and Mattie Eldridge, brothers. Carl, Billy, Ford Wright, and  Clyde Day.  He served in the Navy during World War II, and received numerous decorations for his Valor in military service, and served on the Wichita War ship. He moved from Ohio to Southern California in the 1950′s. Mr. Wright was a long time resident of Niland, and an avid outdoors man and hunter.He is preceded in death by his beloved second wife of 47 years, Bertie died in 2010.
Luther is survived by his daughter, Sheila (James) Hagwood of Denver, Colorado; son, Kenneth Wright of Dayton, Ohio; stepsons, Dan Sandland of Oregon and David Sandland of Simi Valley, CA; 2 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren, sisters Imogene Wilder and Ruby Campbell of Jackson, KY and one brother Virgil Wright of Bremen Indiana. Burial  will be Friday August 12, 2011 Woodhill Cemetery Franklin, Ohio at  2:00pm.  Kind regards, Wright family of Breathitt County.

Donald L. Gabbard, 68, Booneville passed away Saturday, March 26, at the Kentucky River Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Gusta and Etta (Jett) Gabbard.   He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Roy, Ray and Charles and two sisters; Margie Barnett and Edna Frasure.  He was a lifelong farmer.  He worked 33 years for the Sate of Kentucky Dept. of Social Insurance as a Director of Field Services.  He graduated from Jackson City High School and served in the US Army from 1960-1963.  He attended Lees Jr. College and EKU.  He was a family man, mentor, charitable and served as an advocate for those less fortunate.  He served as Past Master of Masonic Lodge #939 Booneville and was a Kentucky Colonel.  He also served on the Three Forks Regional Jail Committee and the Owsley County Solid Waste Committee.  He belonged to the American Heart Association, was a member of the Mountain Pleasure Horse Association and the Owsley County Saddle Club.  He was affiliated with the Baptist church.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline (Smith) Gabbard of Booneville;  one son, Gregory L. Gabbard of Tallahassee, Florida;  two sisters, Beulah(Charles) Robinson of Louisville and Elizabeth(John) Bradbury of Columbus, Indiana;  brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Freda Smith of Booneville;  brother-in-law, Gerald Strong of Centerville, Ohio;  special friends, Sandy and Jonathan Hartsock;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral will be Tuesday, March 29, 12:00PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mildred Anne Lawson McSwain, 78, of Jackson, KY departed this earthly life on Mon. March 21, 2011 at the Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY of a short illness.  She was Sept. 06, 1932 in Lexington, KY and was the daughter of the late.Henry Alva and Nora Begley Lawson.  lShe Preceded in death by husband Wade Ryan McSwain and one brother Marvin Lawson: She previously worked as a bookkeeper at the Citizens Bank of Jackson, but was a faithful and  active member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. She taught the Adult Womens Sunday School class for many years up until the time of her illness.   She also served as  secretary and treasurer for First Baptist Church.  She spent her life putting other’s needs ahead of her own. John Roark, 79, of DeFuniak Springs, FL Passed away, at his home on January 6, 2011. John was born in 1931 to Bessie and Daely Roark at Bays, KY. J. S. graduated from Breathitt High in 1948. He served two years in the Marine Corp during the Korean War.  He retired from Civil Service in Washington, D.C. J.S. was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Loise Wells, Charlene Roark, Raymond Roark, and the mother of his children Wanda Hensley Roark Garrett. A retired coal miner by tade from ACECO, a 1969 graduate of Buckhorn High School and a member of Johnson United Baptist Church.   He was born April 08, 2951 in Crockettsville, KY and was the sonof the late Roy and Edna Riley Turner.  He was preceded in death by three brothers: Saul,, Billy Roy and Denvard Turner and father in law: Bill Hobbs.   He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Deloris Frances Hobbs Turner.  Two sons:  John Anthony (Kristy) Turner and Jeremy Scott (Ander) Turner of Hazard, KY; Four grandchildren:  Justice Turner of Jackson,KY; Zachary, Chasity and Landon Turner all of Hazard, KY.  Three sisters;  Edna Lou (Ed) Deaton of Buckhonr, KY Shirley Smith of Lodoga, IN; Virginia (Tom) Giselbach of La Fountain, IN.Three brothres: R.G. Elmer Noble, 43, passed away Sun., Sept. 26 in Cynthiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Janie Sue Noble and one brother, Gordon Noble.  He is survived by his wife,  Tammy Sue Noble of Cynthiana;  one daughter, Casey Goldie Noble of Cynthiana;  four brothers, James(Rose) Noble of Clayhole, Wickie(Caroline) Noble of Clayhole, Harold(Joyce) Noble of Rousseau, John Paul Noble of Hardshell;  four sisters, Ogie Noble of Hardshell, Wanda(Roger) Combs of Hardshell, Ruby(Green) Roberts of Southfork, Mary(Wayne) Neace of Hardshell.  Funeral services  will be Thursday, Sept. 30, 1PM at the Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana with Rev. Joyce Ann Moland, 55, of Jackson, KY departed this earthly life on Fri. Aug. 20, 2010 at the central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY of extended illness.  She was born July 01, 1955 in Middletown, OH and was the daughter of the late Caesar and Lena Vires Moland. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Allen and Jimmy Moland. Ellen Spicer Noble, 53, of Clayhole, KY departed this earthly life on Tues. August 17, 2010 at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.

Alma Rae Noble, 71, Ned passed away Wed., Aug. 18, at her home.  She was the widow of the late Doyle Glenn Noble and the daughter of the late Willie S. Deaton and Verna Smith Deaton.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Baker and Edna Simms.  She was a member of the Neace Memorial Church at Ned.  She is survived by one daughter, Darlene(Eugene) Smith of Cynthiana;  three sons, Glenn Jr.(Anita) Noble of Chavies, Jeff(Brenda) Noble of Ned and Willie Joe Noble of Ned;  three sisters, Wilma Jean Bailey and Helen Smith of North Vernon, IN and Roberta Stidham of Newport; one brother, Harlan Deaton of North Vernon, IN;  eight grandchildren, Glenn William Noble, Cisco Lynn Noble, William Joseph Noble, April Michelle Preston, Whitney Marie Noble, Joshua Glenn Everett Smith, Tyler Ray Smith and Deanna Kay Noble;  four great grandchildren:  Jeremiah Noble, Jessie’Clabe Noble, Chelsea Noble and Isabella Noble;  host of nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be Saturday, August 21, 1PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Stamper, 55, of Morris Fork, KY departed this earthly life on Sunday August 15, 2010 at KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.
He was born July 29, 1955 in Jackson, KY and was the son of the late Redmond and Sallie Herald Stamper.  He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Eugene and Robert Stamper.  Survivors include three daughters;  Nina Stamper, Sarah Stamper and Emma Stamper;  Three sons:  Daniel Stamper, James Stamper and Robert Stamper of Morris Fork, KY.  One sister: Beatrice (Jerry) Adams of Morris Fork, KY; One brother: Enoch (Gladys) Stamper of Morris Fork, KY;  Two grandchildren:  Christina combs and Savannah Stamper;  Nieces and Nephew:  Sallie Miller, Jerrica adams and Enoch Stamper, Jr.  Great niece and nephews;  Erica Miller, Christon Miller and Peyton Stamper.
