| COUNTRY CONCERT 2004 Set to Kick Off Ft. Loramie, Ohio - Country Concert at Hickory Hill Lakes is preparing for the 24th annual music and camping festival to be held July 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th. The event takes place on a 500 acre RV park in Shelby County, Ohio and features live country music, live bull riding, the USA Karaoke Finals, camping, shopping, and plenty of good food and drink. The event feature's more than 22 stars including Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Diamond Rio, Sawyer Brown, Trace Adkins, Neal McCoy, Trick Pony, Chris Cagle, Joe Nichols, Charlie Daniels, Deana Carter, Buddy Jewel, Cledus T. Judd, Emerson Drive, David Allen Coe, Blue County, and Carolyn Dawn Johnston. Promoter Mike Barhorst says, "We are lucky to have been able to pull together so many great artists this year. It’s really an exciting show start to finish. I’m happy for the fans because they have been wonderful over the years. We have folks that met here for the first time 24 year’s ago and still get together every year at this concert.” Blue County is one of the newcomer acts at Country Concert. “They have there first hit in the charts,” says Barhorst. “But we get a lot of calls about them because their lead singer is Emmy nominated Scott Reeves who stared on the “Young and the Restless” for more than 10 years (as Ryan McNeil).” The "USA Karaoke Finals" is a competition at Country Concert that resembles the "American Idol" program. Winners from about 70 smaller competitions vie for a chance to sing on the main stage right before Martina McBride. There is a list of the preliminary contests on the event's web site www.countryconcert.com. Tickets, camping, and hotel information are available by calling the ticket office at 937-295-3000, or online at www.countryconcert.com. A free, color brochure is also available on request. |

| Breathitt Online News Attends Country Concert 2004 7-13-04 Ft. Loramie, OH. Jackson's very own Breathitt Online News was a V.I.P. guest for the 2004 Country Concert. This 4 day event featured country stars from all over the United States. This concert, now in it's 24th year has had over 220 artists since it began. The concert started in 1981 and featured Louise Mandrell & Johnny Russelll along with several up & coming stars. The first night of this years concert featured Cletus T. Judd, no relation, along with Deanna Carter, Charlie Daniels Band, and Montgomery Gentry. Not a bad line-up for the first night. This event averaged nearly 150,000 people per night. Seating in the V.I.P. area was spectacular, and the festivities were unbelievable. This is an event that we here at Breathitt Online plane to attend every year. |
