| You-A Tribute to A Mother Through the Eyes of a Child You were always there for me, anytime both day and night, and in your loving, caring arms, you always held me tight. You always changed my diapers and kept me nice and dry, and you were always there, never too busy, to wipe the teardrops from my eyes. You always gave me milk to nourish, as from a baby I did grow, into a busy toddler who was always on the go. You were always there to kiss my hurts away when as a toddler I’d fall sometimes during the day. You were always there for me, all during my teenage years and you always gave me hope to go on, when I’d shiver from my fears. Now looking back at you now (Mom), I see how much that you really loved me, for when the road ahead always got too dark, you were shining the light for your child to see. You did all of this for me (Mom) throughout your own pain and strife, So thank you (Mom) a million times over because you gave me Life! Down Life’s Road Two young people, now out on their own, start paying bills and keeping a home. Little kids later their lives together did make, down life’s road of give and take. The little kids, soon all grown and gone, married and moved out into their own homes. Now two old people left all alone, sit side by side in their Kentucky home. Forty-eight years they have been together, facing the good and the bad, through life’s stormy weather. And when their lives on earth are through, another home in heaven together they’ll start all over brand new. What a Price As Jesus hung on the cross, so aweful for you and me, he knew here on earth was just borrowed time and one day we’d no longer be. And as he hung there on the cross, with the nails drove through his hands, just think, my friend, of the price he paid; from the pain he had to stand. As he did there on the cross with his blood seeping through and through, he cried, Oh Father forgive them for they know not what they do. So as we travel down life’s highway, let’s keep praying constantly and always remember what a price our savior did for you and me. If She Could Only Trust Him That Far 1-20-06 When she looks into his big, blue eyes, so loving and so kind, but if he only knew the longing going that’s going through her mind. If she could only trust him far enough, yes it would be the most beautiful sight, and she knows that he has always came to her, in her, most, darkest night, and when no one else was around to care, he was there waiting patiently, and in his loving arms, she feels so warm and so free, yes, God picked him out of trillion of others, who live in this big, wide world, for him to be the father of their little boy and girl. And as she holds him close again outside, , underneath the stars, but for him to love her as much as she does him oh, what she would give if she could only trust him that far. What Talking To God Will do 1-2-06 By talking to God, will surprise us so, for it can make flowers to bloom, where wild weeds grow. It can move the highest, mountains in our life, or it can calm the deepest sea. It can give us the strength to go on when we’re weakened in our knees. Another, day passes, and another morning starts all over again, new with plans on our minds what we want to do. But, believe me my, friend that our plans will soon fall through if we don’t take time to pray and ask God to help us too, because yes, it will surprise us so, just what talking to (God) will do! Katy Noble Things Took For Granted by Katy Noble 666-7839 11-7-05 Out of God’s great wonders, do we ever stop to say, “Why am I in such a rush Lord and what have I took for granted again today?” Yes, it’s strange the many things we let slip away-a bird outside our window, a singing away in a tree, to be able to hear its music and its beauty to be able to see; to live in a home where we’re happy and not sad, for food to eat and family who’ll be there for us, through the good times and the bad. To just have the strength to get up and walk across the floor. Yes, if we’d only stop to think, there is so much more. But most of us never take the time to think about deep waters until we begin to sink. When to another morning we awake and start on our way, please let us not take things for granted again that day! Momma's Golden Rule by Katy Noble 666-7839 10-31-05 Around the table, the family would gather every morning at the break of day, and Momma with her old apron on would bow her head and pray. "Lord, we don't have the best of food to eat but we thank you just the same, for all that you do have before us, and watch over us all Lord. I ask all of this in your name." Eating and laughing, the kids hurrying off to school but deep in their hearts and minds, they always remembered Momma's Golden Rule: To always do unto others as you would have them to do unto you, and to always do the very best at whatever you may do. Momma's children, grown and married now with their own kids hurrying off to school, but deep in their hearts and minds, they too always remember and practice Momma's Golden Rule. The Drunkard 10-11-05 by Katy Noble 666-7839 The drunkard staggered across the floor, answering the knock upon the door. Not believing just who was there, a little old lady with snow white hair. “Come in,” he said, “and tell whom you are, for you must have traveled so very far”. You know I am looking for my long lost son, for he left home back in sixty-one, and I haven’t seen him in all these years, brushing back her gray hair and wiping tears. But today I took that extra mile for seeing him again is well worthwhile. A whispering softly, her son’s name, the drunkard so bearded stood there in shame. I’m your son, he began to speak, the old lady already knew her child and kissed his cheek. The drunkard, a preacher now, preaches the gospel through out the town. The old lady sits at her window with a smile on her face, a singing “Bringing In the Sheep”, and “Amazing Grace”. A Sinner’s Day At Church 9-11-05 He went to church on Sunday morning, outside the day was wet and storming. The people gathered in the big church house to listen to God’s word, and to sing and shout! Away in the back he heard the preacher say “Who wants to give their heart to the Lord, please come this way!” His hands were trembling and his knees went weak as he reached to wipe a teardrop from his cheek, but he knew in his heart that he wanted to repent, then down the aisle to the alter he walked as if was heaven sent, and when he left the church that day, he was a new man born in every way. A Parent’s Faith For Their Child By Katy Noble 606-666-7839 Grieving parents sat hand in hand, thinking of their son in a foreign land off fighting in a war, away from them, so very far. It seemed like only yesterday, a remembering back to hearing him say “Mom, what’s for lunch today?” and “May I go outside and play?” and “Will you read me another story, please, Dad?” With tears a falling, they cling tight to his picture they had. Bowing their heads once more to pray, asking God to send him safely on his way. To just show what truly having faith can do-four days later, home came Stu. Holding him close with so much joy to share, a whispering “Thank You Lord” for answering our prayer. With the darkness drifting away, they all slept so happy and sound, back at home in their little home town. Grandma’s Bible 7-28-05 Grandma’s bible is still there, all dusty and worn, inside the pages so badly torn, but as I look upon it, my mind goes back away to when she used to read it. Then bowing her head to pray, closing her eyes so calmly as if though she was asleep and her gray hair a blowing in the sunlight, so wet from a teardrop off her cheek, asking God to help her children down through the years to give them the courage to face all of their fears and the _expression upon her face made me feel so at ease, as the old curtains in the windows fluttered with the breeze. Grandma’s gone home now to a better home on high, but when I look upon her bible, I can feel that she’s there with me in spirit, somewhere close by and bowing my head each morning to pray, I always remember and repeat what Grandma did say. Our God is Never Late 7-22-05 God is the answer to our every need, if we only asked, and have faith enough as a mustard seed. A friend may help us all that they can but sometime there is a problem that’s way out of hand. God is right there waiting, he’ll answer our prayers for when we asked, he’s listening each minute of the hour. Our prayers may seem unanswered as the longer we wait, but just remember, my friend, that our God is awesome and he’s never late. So let us not get discouraged and always understand there there’s never anything that’s out of God’s hands. He’ll answer our prayer always on time, as his great powerful hand touches yours and mine. The Bible by: Katy Noble 7-1-05 The bible is a book that we all shall keep, inside it tells that we’ll find, if we seek. It tells how on water that Jesus walked, and how he made the blind to see, and the dumb to talk. It tells how Jesus took a few fish and a loaf of bread and made enough food so that thousands were fed. It tells about a sick woman down on her knees who has enough faith that Jesus could cure her disease, if she could only touch the hem of his robe, and how many miles that the wise men strolled following the star of Bethlehem as it shown so bright above the clouds on Christmas night. It tells how Jesus cured the sick and raised the dead, which we all know this from our bibles we have read. But the saddest part we’ll ever read inside is how on the cross, our savior died. A Daily Prayer by Katy Noble 6-20-05 Here I am again Lord, starting out another day. Please stay close beside me along the way, and if my day grows weary Lord, and I just don’t know what else to do. Then please reach out, take my hand, and guide me safely through. Let me understand Lord, that you’ll supply my every need. If I just call upon you, ask, and then truly believe. Like all of earths people Lord, I need you so very much, to ease all of life’s burdens and the strength to go on and such. So Thank You Lord for giving me another day, and also for being an American and for freedom in everyway! Amen. Down Life’s Road By Katy Noble 6-9-05 They married young, a boy and a girl, and started out as one in this big, wide world. Now two young people, who are out on their own, start paying bills, and keeping a home. Two kids later, now that makes four, their nights are often spent with them walking the floor. The kids soon begin to talk and skin their knees as they try to walk. Momma kisses their hurts away and hopes for tomorrow, to be a brighter day. The kids soon, all grown and gone, married and moved out into their own home. Now, two old people, left all alone, sit side by side in their Kentucky home. Fifty-two years they have been together, facing the good and bad, in life’s stormy weather. And when their life on earth is done, they start all over in heaven, together, once more living as one!
