Why does it seem like when one thing goes wrong everything goes wrong at the same time. It started off with the dryer going out, but I didnt find out until I already had three loads waiting to be dried. Then the next thing was the refrigerator went completely out. Well luckily Dayboy got us a dryer and a new refrigerator. Thanks Dayboy, it sure feels good to have ice cold pop and frozen ice cream, in fact I broke a spoon trying to get the ice cream out of the carton. Was happy to see Aunt Jennifer Jones out working in her flower garden yesterday, thats how I know warm weather has actually come, she works so hard in her garden every year! She had a helper on this particular day, her little grandaughter Destiny Rae Hays. Destiny sure does love "Mamaw Jenny" I am sorry to hear that Dewey Mullins in not feeling well as of late. He and his wife Fleda are such sweet people. Dewey I hope that you get to feeling better real soon. I haven't been to visit with you all for a while, but warmer weather has finally come and I will be down to see you. A couple of years ago my sister sent me a 2 lb chocolate birthday card from the Hershey company, I took it down to show Dewey and Fleda, and Dewey said, "Sit down here honey and lets have a bite of that candy and see how it tastes" Got to say Hi to Drewey Jones "Uncle Hitler" as I call him, that man has to own more Kentucky Wildcats clothing than anyone else that I know. He sure loves his sports!! I saw Drewey Lee a few days ago at Jiffy-Mart and I acted like I was going to hit him with my cart, he looked at me kind of funny, as if he knew me but wasn't exactly sure who I was. When I told him he said, "Honey I was more worried about not getting run over with that shopping cart" Need to say hello to Uncle Bill Howard, he is doing better down there at St. Joe East in Lexington, Aunt Hazel said that he had been trying to walk some. She said she thought they were going to send him over to Cardinal Hill for rehabilitation. I know with the weather warming up that Bill is probably sitting there in the Hospital wanting to get back to work in his garden. Get well soon Uncle Bill and always know that I love you! The following picture is of Desiree Ramsey and Martin Nickel...{ The grandaughter and son of Ralph Nickel{Caveman} and Chris Ann Campbell } Desiree is the daughter of Ritchie and Isis Ramsey. I just recieved this picture in an email from Chris as I was writing this article and I thought it was cute that I had to include it. Sis's Section: 3-05-07 Been awhile since I have been getting my articles in on time, but I am going to try to get back on track...I sure am glad that the weather has finally started to warm up. A few weeks there I sure didnt think that we would see any warm weather. But anyway folks lets all get out and enjoy the weather while we have the chance, the weather here is Kentucky changes every minute it seems like. OH is very happy because he has the chance to write again, after seeing this weeks paper he said "Ky Mt News" is the best paper in town. He has been writing in newspapers around here for over 20 years, so I think he might know what he is talking about. To quote him he said "I am a damn fool to quit my friends anyway and try to write for the "High Society" people. as the old saying goes a man shouldn't ever try to get above his "raisin'. So for those of you who have subcribed to the other paper to read OH, it is time to come back home the same as he did. I have some new ideas about things to do on our website www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net you can look forward to seeing video on there in the very near future. Went and bought a Panasonic camcorder to use just for that purpose and by all accounts I really thought that we had it made, so I came home checked it all out and made a short video and hooked it up to the tv and still all was looking good, well when I went to hook it up to the computer to make videos for the website, the most important thing { at least in my opinion } was missing from the box that being the usb cable that I have to have to put the film on the computer. But everything is still looking up for us because luckily we were able to order the cable and it should be here by Friday or Monday. My whole point to this story is that you would think that having spent that much money on a piece of equipment like that, well you would think that ALL the parts would be included. I have been pretty upset the last couple of days, as my Uncle Bill { Kiser} Howard has not been doing well, I hope that he will be home from the hospital soon. OH and I are going to go visit with him on Friday. I am glad that I am down here incase his Wife { Aunt Hazel } needs me I will be glad to help her in anyway that I can. Take care of yourself Bill and do as they tell you so that you can recover and get home soon. I love you!! Was glad to see my cousin Henry Howard today { Bill and Hazel's son } he came by to see me while he was in town checking on his Dad. Henry has always been a favorite cousin of mine because no matter where I see him he always gives me a hug and asks me how I am doing. Cluster came by a couple weeks ago to visit with me and talked to me about enrolling at Lee's for a computer class. I will probably start this fall as I always did like to learn and we might as well face it these days and in the future EVERYTHING will be connected to a computer in some way shape or form. It is funny for me to think that 5 years ago I didn't even know how to turn a computer on and now I can do many things on them. The following picture is of my cousin Henry Howard and his family, he sure had some pretty children and the little girl on his lap is his grandaughter Tiara, as you can tell by this picture she sure loves her "Papaw". Happy Birthday In Heaven 3-01-07 I would like to dedicate my article this week to the memory of my cousin Crystal Howard. She was born on March 7th 1977 in Knox Indiana to Galen and Doree Howard. Crystal was a decendant of Breathitt county as her Dad, Galen was born and raised here, she was the grandaughter of Berry and Laura Howard who also hailed from Breathitt county. During her high school years she was a member of the science club, newspaper staff and was on the National Honor society and drama club all of Knox High School. { Indiana} When she passed away she had already accomplished so much in her very young life. she was a sophmore at Purdue University at the time of her death. She was in the Alpha Phi Mega Sorority and she was the Vice President of Purdue Vet Tech class. Sadly Crystal left this world on January 2nd 1997 due to a car wreck. After having accomplished so much in her 19 short years it is hard for me to imagine how much more she could have and would have done if given just a little more time. Purdue University and Knox High School both give scholarships each year in memory of Crystal. I know that it makes her smile each time someone is given one of these scholarships because she was such a good hearted sweet natured person and if she could not be here to continue her work, I know in my heart that she is proud that another student is given the chance to achieve it. Happy Birthday Crystal honey, and always know how very much all of your family misses and loves you! Love You Always, Your Cousin, Loredith Howard Sis's Section: 5-12-07 I know that many of you are sick of the question that I am about to ask, but even so I just have to ask, "Has it been cold enough for you?" After growing up in Indiana with well below zero temps, and lake effect snows, I thought I was used to it. After being in Kentucky and getting used to the warm winters, I have to say that this one has been really hard for me. I hate to complain because I know that when it becomes Summer and the miserably hot weather I am going to be wishing that I could feel some of this cold weather.Aunt Jennifer Jones is feeling the cold too, she was telling me about sleeping with a pair of long johns under her flannel P.J''s and also 4 pairs of socks. Now I would have to say that is about as cold as I have heard anybody being during this cold spell. OH was telling me about growing up and hearing his Grandma say many times during cold weather...."a child will be burnt up tonight" what she was saying was that due to the cold and people using the fireplaces back then as the only source of heat, there would be homes that would catch fire during the night and the children would be burnt up.. It was strange that a couple of days after he told me about this story, there was a story on WYMT about three homes being burnt due to wood heating, and there was a total of eleven people who died and I believe they said six of them were children. I have learned over the years that I should pay attention to the elderly as they have already lived thier lives and they can teach us a lot if we take time to listen to them. Went into Rose Brother's looking around and ended up buying a new pair of tennis shoes. While we were there, we had the pleasure of meeting Shawna Moore who works there. I would have loved to talk to her much longer but I was afraid of getting her into trouble. It's the people like Shawna that make me want to go to the places who have empolyees like her. I will be going back to that store, not only to talk with her, but as I was looking around I found a few things that I want to go back and get. Anyway, Thanks Shawna for taking time to help us. I have been doing a lot of searching on the website that my "Howard" family has, while visiting I found a picture of my paternal great grandparents, Brack and Cindy Howard. These were the parents of my Grandpa Berry Howard. I know that I have many relatives here in Breathitt county whom I have never met. I am very interested in meeting all of those who are! I think family is important and so is learning where you come from.. Here is the picture that I am speaking of. My email address is: lhow1@yahoo.com {thats a small "L" at the begining of the address}many people have gotten it mixed up with a small "I" If any of you have any info about my great- grandparents or grandparents, please be sure to let me know. Sis's Section 1-31-07 It's been awhile since I last wrote my article and to be honest with you the only reason is because I truly ran out of things to write about, I guess you could call it "writer's block" anyway, I am back to my writing again. We just had a nice visit with OH Jackson and his girlfriend Ashley, I am ashamed to say that I forgot to ask Ashley what her last name is. She sure was a nice and very pretty girl. I tend to believe that Jackson is trying to be like his dad as his hair is getting pretty long too. I can honestly say that OH and Carolyn have two great boys! I was watching a pastor on Tv and he was talking about how people in other places tend to think that people from Kentucky aren't too smart. But as the pastor said, we supply the rest of the country with coal and if it wasn't for this part of the country where would the rest be? That always upsets me when people put Kentucky {especially the Eastern part} down. Don't get me wrong, I am all for people who try to better themselves, but all I can say is don't be ashamed of where you come from. There are just as many intelligent people around here as there are anywhere else, sometimes people in other places may have more of an advantage but the intelligence is here if you take time to talk to others you will find it. I didn't think it was possible but I just found someone who likes pickled bologna as good as OH does, that is our little neighbor Alexis Bach. She is like most kids would be with candy when you give her pickled bologna and crackers.. I love to go downstairs and visit with them and hold her little 3 month old brother Noah, but he tends to "leak" {out of one end or the other} everytime I pick him up. {haha} Was glad to talk with Wanda Turner and Lisa Herald last week, I was sorry to hear that Herman Turner has not been feeling too good. Hang in there Herman and everything will be ok....Lisa quit lookin out that window and get to work! {haha} Been doing a lot of work on our website: www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net since OH no longer writes for the paper he has started doing his own radio show on the website. Come give it a listen sometime, I think that you will agree that even if you don't like what he has to say, you will agree that OH is OH and come hell or high water he sticks up for what he believes in.and tells it like it is. He has a new CD called "Mountain Gospel" of songs that he sang growing up. They are available at Jiffy-Mart or by mail at: OH Napier P.O.Box 392 Jackson, Kentucky 41339 They are $10.00 plus $2.00 shipping The following picture is of Barry Auxier's favorite "Lady" her name is Mahayla Auxier and she is her Daddy's pride and joy. Thanks Barry for bringing her to see us. She is sure one beautiful "Little Lady"................. Sis's Section: 12-15-06 If any of you have gone shopping in the last few weeks, you certainly know that it is the Christmas Season! I went in to Wal-mart and Radio Shack to look for a usb cable for my digital camera, and my Lord I have never seen so many people in one place at the same time! While I was at Wal-mart I also looked for a winter coat and couldn't find not one for women and only one hunting coat for men. I guess that I must have waited to late to buy a coat. My next stop will be Rose Bro's maybe they will have some, wish me luck! Need to say Hello to Jack Carper and all the people at the post office, I know they have a hard job especially this time of the year. I just like to give Jack a hard time, because he tries to give me one. My favorite of all the postal workers is Sharon, she is always so friendly. When OH goes into the post office he likes to talk with Delores as they went to Caney School together. Jack informed me that they had seen 3000 people at the post office today, in all honesty I didn't think there were 3000 people in Breathitt county. Looks like I am an "Auntie" again, as my sister had her 5th child on December 9th 2006...a little boy they named Logan he weighed 6lbs and 14 oz and was 19 inches long. Now she has 4 boys and 1 daughter I don't know about you all but I think maybe it is time for her to quit. Congratulations Trish and Leon, I love you all. Would like to thank Connie and Alexis Bach for the Christmas card, that was the first one that I got this year. Alexis next time that you come up don't use the back stairs as they are way too dangerous and I would sure hate for you to fall and hurt yourself. I was sorry to hear about the death of Arthur Little Jr. I want to send my condolences to his wife Lisa and their children. Was glad to see my Aunt Flora and cousins Missy and Raeff, but am sorry that it was for such a sad reason. I know Missy is going to miss her Uncle Jr. very much. The following picture is of my cousin Shane Hounshell and his daughter Makenzie. Shane and I have always been very close and I sure did think the world of his Daddy Aaron Hounshell, hard to believe that Aaron has been gone for almost 10 years now, Shane I sure wish that your Dad and your Mamaw Beatrice could have lived long enough to see Makenzie you know they both would have adored her. Merry Christmas Shane and Makenzie, I love you both very much. Sis's Section: 12-06-06 Been working a lot on both of my websites, www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net and also http://browneyesky41339.tripod.com it takes some time to work on them but it is well worth it because I get to keep in touch with family and friends and they can see what we have been up to. Come by and visit the sites and be sure to sign the guestbook so that we know that you visited. I went shopping on Sunday to get groceries and then went by the dollar store to pick up a few odds and ends. I never was one to shop very much and now during the holiday season I really hate it. At the dollar store they were evidently preparing for a BIG shopping day because they had all the carts out to stock the shelves. I worked in a store for over 10 years and I know that the shelves have to be stocked, but it sure is hard to shop when everything that should be on the shelves are blocking the isles. There were a couple of items that I couldn't find and thankfully there was a very sweet cashier that was helpful, she was pleasant and tried her best to make sure that I found what I was looking for, I only regret that I forgot to ask what her name was. She with her great attitude made up for the difficulty I had. I would like to say "hello" to my little 10 year old buddy "Buster" Auxier. He and I spent a lot of time looking for parakeets online. I have always loved children and there is just something about "Buster" that touches my heart. I hope you are ok and still doing good in school Buster! I want to say "Happy Birthday" to my Uncle Shelby Stacy on Dec 5th. I think the world of Shelby and he sure used to like agravating me when I was little. That was just Shelby's way, I know now that if Shelby didn't like me he never would have shown me so much attention by "picking" on me. Shelby, I love you and I hope you had a wonderful Birthday. The following picture is one of me and Aunt Jenny Jones, it was taken on election night as we were sitting listening to the election results on the radio. I think so much of Aunt Jenny because she has been so good to me since I moved down here and I will never forget her for that. Love you Aunt Jenny. Sis's Section: 12-06-06 Went over and had a nice chat with my neighbor Naomi Clemons on Weds. she is such a sweet person. Actually the reason that I had gone over to talk to her is because I have had it on my mind to start going to church again and I know that she and her husband attend "The Jackson Church Of God" which is right next door to us. Mrs. Clemons made me promise to come to church on Sunday and I am going to make it a point to go as she was so nice and talked to me for a very long time about attending. I was very saddened to hear about the death of Pheobe Hamblin last week, I only met her a couple of times once at the first Heritage Fair where she took a picture of me and OH and then just a few months ago in September we met her again at the Honey Festival Parade. I know that everybody in the chatroom will miss "meanjean" terribly. My sympathy goes out to Ron and Danny along with the rest of the family. It's hard to lose a loved one, but during the holidays it makes it so much worse. A few days ago I got a real surprise. I walked into the livingroom and OH said..."I am gunna marry you" and I said..."are you really" and he said that he had to ask my dad, so he picked up the phone and called Dad and asked him, to which my dad replied "Well son, thats fine by me." it makes me smile when I think about it because I can just hear my dad's voice saying that. Seems like all of his sentences start with "well, son"....Well anyway I will keep you all posted on the events as they happen. Thanks to everyone who has visited our website www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net so far we have 34136 visits. I am happy that I can now put OH's music on the site for him. He has a new CD out called..."Songs From The Heart" it has 15 songs on it you can get one at Jiffy-Mart in Jackson or if you are in Hazard you can pick one up at Pete Combs Liqour store. You can also order one by mail at: OH Napier P.O. Box 392 Jackson Ky 41339 they are $10.00 plus $2.00 for shipping. There will be a lot more music from OH as he has a couple of more CD's already in the works. The following picture is of my Paternal Grandmother Laura Howard and my Aunt Marie { Howard} Stacy sadly I never got the chance to know Grandma because she died way before I was born. I have heard so much about her and what a wonderful person she was. Sometimes I wonder what she would have thought about me if she had lived long enough to have been my "Grandma" anyway I just wanted to share this picture with you all and maybe someone will remember her as she lived in Breathitt county {SouthFork} all of her life. This picture was taken in 1959...poor Grandma was only 50 years old when she passed away. Sis's Section: 11-09-06 I would like to start this week by extending my deepest sympthies to the family of Ervin Fugate or "Handsome Dad" as he was called in the Breathitt County chatroom. I really didn't know him as well as the rest of you did, but he was always so nice to me whenever I would see him in town. The last time that we saw him was at IGA and he looked at OH and said...."Son, she gets better lookin' everytime I see her." to which I jokingly replied..."I thank you but I think your glass need to be checked." He was a sweet person and will be missed so very much. Speaking of "nice" people, I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Davidson down at the radio station a couple days ago. He was telling us that he had been at the station since 1982. Folks he must be really dedicated to his profession because that is a very long time to be at the same job and Kevin isn't much older than I am, or at least I don't think he is. Kevin has a very recognizable voice, to be honest when I am dialing thru the stations lookin' for WJSN I have to hear his voice before I know for sure that I have it on the right station. The following picture is on that I took a couple days ago when we went by the station to see Kevin. At first I didn't think he was going to quit working long enough to have the picture taken Sis's Section: 11-02-06 Just got back from a trip to LaPorte, Indiana to visit with my parents. I know many people do not think of this as such a great event, but seeing how I have not been there for 2 years, I was very glad to get the chance to see my parents and all my family again. I never knew what it really meant when people use to tell me that once you leave your parents home, it is often hard to move back in with them, well after this trip I know that this is true. As much as I love my Mom and Dad, I don't think that I could live with them again. I guess people just change as they get older! anyway I am sure glad to be back home in Breathitt county. While we were gone, we had gotten a new neighbor...His name is Noah Alexander Bach he was born on October 16th. Due to phnuemonia he had to stay at the hospital until this Monday October 23rd. I went to see little Noah earlier this afternoon and am happy to say that he is getting along just great now. I know that his Mom, Grandma and Big sister Alexis are all very thrilled to have him home with them. Congratulations you all, he sure is a beautiful little guy. Been awfully proud of OH here as of late, he has been having a good time making his music on www.soundclick.com/ohnapier and with the Judge's race coming up. and now today he was asked by Matt Jones who has a show on www.kentuckysportsradio.com if he would write a theme song for the show and perform it live on the air. So far Matt Jones has done 3 different stories on OH. There is also a man named Bud Tower in Smith county Tenn who has a studio and wants OH to come down there and make a cd. You can read more about all there events on our website www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net while you are there please be sure to sign the guestbook so that we will know that you stopped by. He is doing GREAT for a man who gets ridiculed so much!!! Love you OH. Well folks, that's about all the news that I have this time around, the following picture is of Noah Alexander Bach taken just today October 26. Lord it sure has been awhile since a held a baby this small. Sis's Section: 10-12-06 I had a great Birthday on October 5th OH is taking me to Indiana to see my family {I have not been there for 2 years} and would like to thanks to those who thought about me. I would like to say a special thank you to Sharon Auxier and her son Barry for the birthday gift, it was very kind of you and it was a real surprise because it was so unexpected and those are the best kinds of gifts. Again thanks to you both! Getting pretty excited about going down to Douthitt Park on Saturday {October 7th} to see the Ty Herndon concert that the Heritage Fair is putting on free for the public. Last year they had the Ky Headhunters, which was ok I guess, but I think that I will like Ty Herndon better. But thats just my opinion. We went down a couple of weeks ago and visited the Breathitt County Museum and took many pictures of all the different displays that they had there. I always did love history I guess thats why I always made good grades in that subject when I was in school. Thanks to Janie Griffith for showing us around and taking time to explain all the history. We had a good time and plan to be back real soon. Thanks to Bobby and Marie Thorpe for helping me out with my credit card and paying my phone bills at thier bill pay service. It is good to have a place like that here in town so I don't have to run all over trying to get money orders and things just to mail a phone bill. I always have liked Marie ever since I met her, she is a real sweet person, and Bobby, well he's just Bobby....{hahaha} I hope that Aunt Ogie {Jones} Hamilton is doing OK up there in Winchester...she had a gallbladder operation a few days ago and her sister Jenny Jones is helping her out for a few days. Well folks, better close for now and get this sent in, the following picture is one that OH took of me at the Breathitt County Museum....I thought it was a very cool "coal mine" display as both my Grandfather's were coal miners here in Breathitt County. Sis's Section: 10-01-06 Was very surprised this afternoon when I had gone over to Dr. Abordo's office, you see normally when I go over there it is an in and out thing, but today for some reason I waited in the lobby for 2 hours...my appointment was at 2:15 pm and I was finally called at 4:00 pm. I like my Dr. Navarro and wouldn't want anybody to think bad of him, I just couldn't figure out why it took them 2 hours to call me in this time? If you make an appointment and are more than 10-15 minutes late they make you wait til the end or reschedule another appointment, so why don't they do something when you have to wait so long for your appointment? I like my dr. and will continue to see him, I was just curious about my question.... While I was in the waiting room, I had the pleasure of meeting Francis Miller as she was waiting too. She is one fine lady. She had a beautiful jacket as the days are getting colder. I hope to have one in the near future. Also met Mr. Tom Collins, to my surprise, he came over to ask me if I was a "Howard" to which I replied, "Why yes " and he said "Honey, I could tell that just by looking at you" that made me feel good as I am very proud of my family I come from a good set of people. The follwoing picture is of my little neighbor Alexis Back and her cousin Robert...they are two fine young people. Alexis shocked me by showing me that she had algebra homework and she is only in 5th grade. I didn't have "Introduction to Algebra" until I was in 7th grade. Keep up the good work Alexis, you are one intelligent young lady. Sis's Section: 9-27-06 Would like to start this weeks's article by saying a special "hello" to Fleda Mullins who is one of my nieghbors...I guess a couple of days ago she had a slip and fall accident late in the night in her home. I have been intending to to go down and visit with her and see how she is doing, but I know when I am not feeling well I don't care to have much company. Just wanted to let you know Fleda that I am thinking about you and wishing you a speedy recovery. It's hard to believe that we are going into the month of October already. It seems like not too long ago we had just started Summer and here it is going all the Fall season. The scenery sure is beautiful around here in the Fall, all the leaves falling and turning colors. I hope to get out soon and get some great scenic pictures. Glad to see Aunt Jenny Jones back from her trip to the smokies, she went along with her sister-in-law Rita Jones and had a great time, but I am glad to have Jenny back. I missed her quite a bit. The little girl in the following picture is Desiree Ramsey, she is the daughter of Richie and Isis Ramsey, Desiree was in the Heritage Fair beauty contest this year and won "Prettiest Eyes" and also one another catagory but I am not sure which it was. She is one beautiful little girl. She reminds me so much of her Mommy {Isis} Sis's Section: September 11th Often times when people think about the date September 11th, they think about that tragic day back in 2001 when so many innocent people died at the hands of cruel heartless people. I for one will never forget where I was and what I was doing back on that day when as country singer Alan Jackson asked..."Where were you when the world stopped turning?" But when I think about the date September 11th, I also think about a day in 1931 when a Breathitt county couple were married and started their lives together as husband and wife. This particular couple went through many hardships together and raised a family of 16 children and never for one minute did they lose an ounce of love for each other. When on the 10th day of May back in 2000 they were finally split apart { due to the death of the husband} they were as much in love with each other as they were the day they married. They had been married since she was 15 years old and he was 23. It still amazes me that they remained together for 62 years. So you see, not only do I think about the day that was so full of hate, I also think about the way my Grandparents were so much in love that the ONLY thing that could seperate them was death. Would also like to say hello to a few friends that I haven't talked to in awhile...there is Ralph Nikell and Chris- Ann Campbell down in Campton, Brenda Freeman and her daughter Ashley from Chicago Illinios {who read Ky Mt News} and Dewey and Fleda Mullins and their daughter Sharon, hope everyone is doing Ok, and also, Ed and Penny Caudill and their children Hallie and Charles. I have been working on building a new website, this one I pay for so there are no annoying pop ups and a lot more room than those pay sites, the address is: www.ohnapierandbrowneyes.net on this website you can find ordering information on how to order OH's new Cd "In The Land Of 666" which includes the song he wrote about Tubby Smith titled...."Tubby Final Four Or Hit The Door" it amazes me how he sat in the kitchen and made up a song in about 10 minutes and it has recieved tons of national attention on such websites as www.cbssportsline.com Well folks, it's time to close for now, the following picture is of my Grandparents Earl and Patsy {Miller} Stacy who were married September 11th, 1931 many people in Breathitt will remember them as they were both born and raised here and lived here many many years before moving to Indiana. Both are buried in the Bradley Cemetery in DeCoy Kentucky. Mamaw and Papaw Sis's Section: 9-12-06 Had a good time at this years Honey Festival, On Friday night {Sept 1st } OH sang and played his guitar for about 2 hours{he really sang his heart out. then we along with Aunt Jenny Jones went to walk under the craft tents to see what kinds of crafts they had available this year. I had a very good time this year but spent more money than I really should have. I loved going into "Unlimited Liquidators" on main street. They have some really good deals on some hard to find items. I love going into stores like this because you just never know what you are going to find. I had a great time watching the parade and helping the two little kids near me pick up their candy. The excitement on their faces was the best part of the Parade for me. I would like to congratulate my little cousin Asheley Campbell for winning the beauty contest at the Honey Festival she looked like a little baby doll riding on top that car during the parade. Need to thank Ron Hamblin for the nice picture he put in last weeks paper of OH and I. That really tickled us both Ron. Thanks again. As far as I can remember that was the first time I ever had a colored picture of myself in the newspaper. Want to say Hello to Sara Campbell and it was nice seeing her again down at the festival. I wish that we had more time to talk, but it seemed like everyone was talking at once and then all of a sudden I turned around and Sara was already gone. Would like to wish Drewey and Rita Jones a Happy Anniversary, they have been married for many years and that is something that you just don't hear about these days the way divorces are. Congratulations to the both of you!! The following picture is my favorite one that I took of OH while he was singing...you can see by this picture that he had his whole heart in it....I am very proud of him! Sis's Section: 8-30-06 Was happy to visit with my Aunt Mary and Uncle Shelby Stacy a few days ago, seems like people don't have or at least don't take the time to visit with each other the way they did when I was growing up. We always looked forward to the weekend when we went to Grandma's house or a bunch of our cousins would come to visit. While I was visiting with Shelby and Mary I also had the chance to meet a new “friend” His name is Alex Hurt..he is the son of Henry and Sandra hurt. I can honestly tell you that I had a great time “pranking” with Alex, and it is always nice to meet a new friend. Alex kept telling me that he wasn't my friend but I told him that he was just going through denial right now...{haha} see Alex I told you that I would write it!! But seriously folks, I just love kids and I was happy to meet Alex and his parents. Would also like to say hello to Missy and Steve over at the Breathitt County Library, I love to read and look up research about my family at the Library. I went in to get a couple of books one day when Missy or Steve neither on was there, and all I am going say is that the girl at the desk was not very friendly and I thought I was going to get shot because I asked if she had a pencil that I could use. I know that I would never been treated so rudely if Steve or Missy had been there. Looks like I am going to have to call and make sure one of them is there before I go in to the Library next time. I am going to back there to do some research using the microfilm it is so cool to be able to use a little machine to look up the past. Well folks here is a picture of my new little “Buddy” Alex Hurt, “Be good Alex and I will see you next time I am up that way.” Sis's Section: 8-24-06 I was pleasantly surprised when I went into pizza Hut on Friday and saw a container with what looked like quite a bit of money it in to help the Stacy Family, the three kids who had to bury both parents {Joe and Roxie Stacy}a few weeks ago. It sure made me feel good as Joe Stacy was my Uncle and I know that it would please him so much if he knew there where people out there trying to help his kids. I have learned one very important lesson since this terrible occurance took place and that is to never say "That will never happen in my family" because trust me we in the Stacy family would have never thought anything like this could happen to us either. Thanks again to everybody who cared enough to make a donation no matter how big or small each and everyone of you are greatly appreciated. A special "thank you" to Gene Watts over at Watts Funeral Home for all of his kindness in our time of grief. I sure did have a good time down at the Lions Club last weekend when a bunch of us who chat in the Breathitt Chatroom got together to chat in person. There was Mona Lisa and her husband, Easystreet, Di, Bob1980, Dark Angel, Cockyrock and Bruiser and also BoPeep. It was nice seeing everyone in person and not having to do all of that typing. We all kept waiting for Kbear to arrive but she was unable to make it that day. I would like to say Hello to Natasha who works over at Wal-Mart, whenever I go in there I always try to get in her line because she is such a sweet person and I love talking to her. Speaking of sweet people, the following picture is one that I took of my favorite nurse Tina Thomas who works over at Jackson Medical Arts {Dr. Abordo's office} See Tina, I told you on the day that I took this picture that you might make the paper some day, you didn't think I would really do it did you?? Sis's Section: 8-17-06 Looking through the last edition of Ky Mountain News, I noticed Ron Hamblin's article about Andrea Yates, yes, I have to agree with Ron on his thoughts about the whole ordeal. You know the woman was INSANE I mean after all she drowned her 5 children, and she KNEW she was doing it and you cannot make me believe any differently! I am so sick of hearing how she and Susan Smith are insane! Susan Smith drowned her two beautiful little boys by letting her car roll into a lake with those two children strapped in car seats . Susan Smith did this because the man she wanted didnt want children. If she knew enough to think this would solve her problems then how can you say she was insane? In my honest opinion, I think both women should be put through the same torture that they put their innocent beautiful children through! It makes me sick to think that there are people out there who really believe that these women didn't do anything wrong. Speaking of children, I had to smile a few days ago when I heard my neighbor's little girl waiting for her bus on the first day of school. She was so excited and she was afraid she would miss her bus! As she got off the bus at the end of the first day she had the biggest smile and I thought to myself, "Well, her first day must have gone pretty good." I love to watch kids today and think of when I was their age. Would like to say Hello to Cassy, she writes an article for Ky Mountain News called..."In The Kitchen with Cassy" Cassy, OH wants me to keep reading your article so maybe you can teach me to cook! {haha} Strawberry Shortcake was never one of my favorite desserts, but your article brought back a lot of good memories of my Grandma's cooking. Every year for my birthday instead of making me a cake Grandma always made me what she called "Apple Cobbler" it sure was amazing what that Lady could do with homemade biscuit dough and a few apples with a little sugar sprinkled on top! I have to say that was the best "birthday cake" I ever had in my life. It was sure a lot better than any you could buy at the store. Would like to thank Kenneva for coming by a few days ago to let me see her new baby Hunter he sure is a doll. The following picture is one that I took of Hunter that day, Kenneva I planned on getting on of you holding him, but you were in a hurry and I was just waking up. Would also like to say Hello to Hunter's Grandmother Wanda Turner, many of you know Wanda as "Kbear" in the breathitt chatroom. Well Folks, I need to go for now, because as always I am late again for this deadline! Sis's Section 8-03-06 I know that it has been a while since I have written my article in this newspaper, but in the past few weeks I have had a lot going on in my life. Been busy helping OH make his new CD "In The Land of 666" which is now available at Jiffy-Mart here in Jackson and by mail. For more information about his music, check out his website at http://ohnapier.com and you can also register on www.soundclick.com/ohnapier and vote for his music. To register is free all you need is a valid email address. Also on July 25th, my Uncle Joe Stacy and his wife Roxie died from what they are pronouncing a murder/suicide. They can call it what they whish, but I will never believe it because my Uncle Joe would never do something like that. There are many questions left unanswered and truth be told as sad as it is, we will probably never know exactly what happened. I would like to say Hello to their 3 children, Goldie, Henry and Clara {Cricket} and let them know how very much I love them. It is a very sad, rough time for these kids and all the Stacy family, so please everybody say a prayer for us all and especially the little Grand daughters they leave behind {Hannah and Courtney} who love their Mamaw and Papaw and are still much too young to understand. After the funeral on July 29th, we took my mom {who was Joe's sister} to Long John Silvers to get her something to eat. While we were there she slipped and fell on the wet floor. Lets just say that we were not treated nicely after that. We had to take her to the ER here in Jackson to be checked out because she was in so much pain. By the time that we got her to the ER, Long John Silvers had already called the hospital to say they would NOT be billed for the treatment. Lets just say that Mom went back to Indiana on crutches and I doubt that Long Johns has heard the last from her. The following picture is of Joe and Roxie Stacy on their wedding day. Sis's Section 7-13-06 Hope everyone has been able to get out and enjoy this beauiful weather that we have been having. There is nothing more beautiful than the hills of Breathitt county on a day that is just right, {not to hot or too cold}. We enjoyed getting out and taking a ride with our neighbor Lacy Miller. Actually at first it was just supposed to be a ride to pick up some baseball cards that OH had heard about on the trading post. So anyway that was the first stop that we made. Then we ended up going to the Buckhorn Dam. Now let me tell you, that was an absolutely beautiful area that I had not been to since I have lived down here. On the trip I was able to take a lot of good pictures with my new digital camera, it took me a long time to break down and finally buy a new one but now that I have it I am sure glad that I did. I hope all the Dads had a great Father's Day...I called and wished mine a Happy Father's Day but he has a bad summer cold and really didn't feel like talking too much. OH was visited by his two boys, Jackson and Jesse. Boys you will never know how much it means to your dad when you come to visit with him. Thanks Carolyn for bringing me those books to read. Reading has always been a favorite hobbie of mine. We should get together and start an online book collumn of our favorite books. Also had a good visit with Ralph Nickel and Chris Ann Campbell who came by with bbq deer meat, was good seeing them again, but I still aint got brave enough to try that meat..haha no offense just didn't feel much like eating Bambi. A couple weeks ago I went up on SouthFork and visited with George C. and Beverly Clemons where they were camping out with their Grandchildren Brandon and Kender, who are visiting their grandparents and dad James Clemons for the summer and also enjoying their new baby brother Barron. Brandon and Kender live in Indiana with their mom and I know that they are having a great time down here. Enjoy your grandparents while you have the chance kids, I would love to be able to spend some more time with mine. Those are some wonderful memories that you will cherish forever. The following picture is one I took of Brandon and Kender the day I visited with them, it so was cute when Kender put her arm around her brother and said...."Come on brother hug me and at least act like you like me." As you can see by looking at this picture Brandon was thrilled to death with the whole idea...haha Sis's Section 7-5-06: Would like to say hello to our neighbors, Roe and Pip Coomer...we had a good visit a couple days ago when we walked down to pick up an 8 track tape player that OH bought from Roe. OH had been looking for one for a long time and on this particular day he saw Roe outside and asked him if he would happen to know where he could find one. Roe just looked at OH and thought for a minute and said..."Well, OH I have one and just for you I will take $20.00" needless to say he was happy as could be and Roe just so you will know, it plays perfect. That day it was about 95 degrees outside with the heat index of probably 105 and I for one cannot stand real hot weather anyway as we were talking to Roe he was telling me that he had his first Cigarette when he was 7 years old along with his first taste of whiskey. From there he started telling me about how he outsmarted Hollis Gibson...You see Hollis Gibson was a revenue man trying to catch anyone who was making whiskey, he came upon Roe and told him that he knew he was making it and to that Roe replied "do you see any whiskey?" from my understanding Hollis Gibson searched and searched for the whiskey but never did find it...and this is how it happened, you see Roe knowing that he was being hunted by Hollis buried his drum of whiskey in the ground and put dirt, brush and other weeds ontop of it to hide it, all the while that Hollis kept telling Roe that he KNEW he made it you see, all the while Hollis was standing right ontop of the proof and didnt know it!! Hollis then told Roe that he {Hollis} had been outsmarted very few times, but it looked like he was one of them who had gotten away with it !! I don't know about the rest of you all, but I could sit and lsiten to these kinds of stories all day long. You can hear so many interesting stories just by taking the time to listen to the older people. Roe that is a story that I for one will never forget. The following picture is one that I took of Roe a few days ago as he was out riding around in his power chair enjoying the beautiful day we were having! Roe Coomer Sis's Section: Just had a wonderful visit with my Mom {Gladys Howard} any time that I get to spend with her is always enjoyable. Actually I thought that I would cry and be sad when she went back to Indiana this morning. But to my surprise I wasn't. While I will always miss being around her on a daily basis I guess I have just gotten use to my life down here in Breathitt county. Anyway, I was glad to visit with her but I could tell that she was ready to go back to her house. While she was here we went to the family cemetery and paid a visit to Mamaw and Papaw. Also went over to visit with her brother Shelby Stacy and her Aunt Ula Mae Miller for a few minutes. Mostly this visit was for us to spend a lot of quality time with each other because we had not seen each other in 6 months. Would like to congratulate my Uncle Thurman Stacy and his new wife Judy {Campbell} Trent on their wedding that took place on Saturday June 10th. Hope they will have many happy years together. Love you both and wish you all the luck in the world. Want to say hello to my friend Sharon Auxier and her parents Dewey and Fleda Mullins. Dewey has not been feeling too well lately and I wanted to let him know that I am thinking of him. Sharon is a great person and she really helps her parents a lot, I know what she is going through because it reminds me of how I helped take care of my grandparents, that sure shows a lot of family love. Take care of yourself Sharon and give me a call sometime if you need someone to talk to. As I said, I sure know what you are going through. Mom and I went shopping on Monday with Jenny Jones, Melissa Hays and little Destiny Rae Hays. Destiny is the three year old daughter of Greg and Melissa and let me tell ya, that child amazed me with her singing. Never seen a three year old who could sing like that, she knew all the words and how to prounce them too. I could have set with her all day and listen to her sing. Keep it up Destiny Rae, you did a great job! The following picture is of me and Mom, she has been the best Mother that any child could ever hope to have! I will cherish this picture for the rest of my life........thanks so much OH for taking this for us. Sis's section: I heard the worst thing on the news a few days ago about these parents who had taken their child to Chuck E. Cheese to have his birthday party and then when it was all over they forgot him at the restraunt, that being bad enough the worst part of it all came the next morning when they got a call informing them that the little boy had been forgotten. The parents made the statement that they hadn't even realized it because they THOUGHT the child had gone home with family members. It made me so mad to hear this because number one if I had a child I would have made SURE that the child had gone with either me or a family member I would have not just THOUGHT it!! How do you not make absolutely sure of your child's whereabouts? After all the catch song for Chuck E. Cheese is "Where a kid can BE a kid" NOT "Where a parent can LEAVE a kid!" Been a pretty exciting week for OH as he found a website for muscians and songwriters and he put a few of his songs on there, well they also have a music ratings chart where you can vote for the songs and they are able to go higher in the charts, OH put a song on there as a joke called..."The Land Of 666" and wouldn't you know it has made it all the way to number2 in just a matter of a couple of days!! His song called "Joe Mike Allen" made it up to number 16 out of about 60 thousand songs. So it is needless to say that I have had one happy man on my hands for about the last week. You can visit his music page and hear his songs at http://soundclick.com/ohnapier Looks like this week is going to be a "family week" for me as I have had a great time visiting with my cousin Missy Trent from North Judson, Indiana for the past couple of days and she and I went up to see our Uncle Bill Howard and Aunt Hazel today, Wednesday, 07 June, 2006. I love visiting with Missy she is one of my most favorite cousins and as always I love seeing Uncle Bill and Aunt Hazel anytime. Right now I am anxiously waiting to see My Mom who is coming to see me from Indiana, she will be here in the morning and I am so excited, she has always been my best friend and I always knew that no matter what I ever did wrong she was going to love me regardless. The following picture is of my cousin Missy and my Uncle Bill Howard I took it today while we were sititng on his porch on South Fork sure did bring back alot of wondeful childhood memories talking with them both. I love you guys!! Sis's Section: I hope everyone is having a good week and enjoying the nice weather, I had to smile to myself when I talked to my Mom in Indiana and she told me that the temp was only 50 degrees and we were having almost 80 degree weather. I will honestly have to say that it is in times like these that I do not miss Indiana at all. Been looking at the Breathitt Message board lately and have been noticing where this woman named Helen Whaite has been posting to OH alot. Look Helen, I have over looked it for a long time now, but I am giving you fair warning that you cannot have him. It took me many years to find the person that I could truely love. I guess you could say that this is one man who will not be going to Helen Whaite because I just got him to cook for me when I want him to. Just got back from visiting with Jenny Jones along with her sister Katherine Napier who is visiting from Ohio. So nice to sit out on Jenny's porch in her porch swing. Reminds me so much of Mom's house and the porch swing I used to sit in all the time when I lived at home. While I was there Jenny's grandson Chase Hays came by on his new motorcycle. Had a wonderful visit with my best Friend Jenny Kuhl from Indiana and her husband Glen who came to see us on Tuesday while they were on there way to W. Virginia. Jenny and I have been friends for many years and it was great seeing her again after almost two years. Although I love living in Kentucky it sure is nice to see my friends and family from Indiana. Was glad to see Carolyn Napier and OH Jackson yesterday as Jackson came by to show off his new hair do to his dad. OH and Carolyn sure have two wonderful boys and they are so polite. You just dont see too many kids that are that polite at that age. The following picture is of OH and his Uncle Drewey Jones who I call "Uncle Hitler" I do believe that Drewey has got to be the biggest Kentucky Wildcat and Breathitt Bobcat fan that I have ever known in my life. I love kidding around with Drewey because he can always do or say something to make me laugh. Well folks I am going to go and get this sent in............... Sis's Section: Here I am past the deadline again, but thankfully I still get my chance to send this article in. I have spend a lot of time on the computer working on my website http://browneyesky41339.tripod.com and I also continue to work on OH's website www.ohnapier.com Plus I do a lot of printing on OH's books. He has even given me an idea on reprinting one of my Grandmother's songs books that she has read so much that the cover was worn on it. The little song book means a lot to me because I have seen her so many times reading out of it. My Grandma was a southern Baptist and Lord, she believed so much in her religion. Many of my beliefs came from her. There was no better woman in the world than my Grandma. By the time that you read this the books will be available at Jiffy-Mart in Jackson. Speaking of Jiffy-Mart the following picture is of Mr. Mike Chaney. I have never seen him in that store without a smile on his face. I have often joked with him and told him that he was the only man in Breathitt County that I look up to. Myself being 6'1 it is really hard to find anybody taller than me. I kept telling him that I was going to put him in the paper but that was so long ago that I am sure he thinks that I have forgotten, but guess what Mike? I didn't forget. Thanks again Mike for helping us out with the books. Also would like to say Hello to Mikes wife, I met her today while we were in the store and she also seems like a nice person. Would like to say Congratulations to Kenneva Hensley on the birth of her baby boy Hunter on May 13th, 2006. He sure is a beautiful child. I know that was the best Mother's day present you could ask for. Better keep little Hunter away from Granny Wanda or she will spoil him rotten!!! {just kidding} Seriously, I wish him all the health and happiness in the world. Well, I better make this short and get this sent in before I completely miss the deadline. Sis's Section: I am sad to report that the "neighborhood Beagle" that I spoke of a few weeks ago in my article was hit by a car a few days ago and has now passed away. I am going to miss that dog so much. Just about everyday it would come to my door and "knock" by butting it's head against the door to let me know that he was hungry. It got so that I saved food for it so that I would have something to feed it when it "knocked" on the door. I went as far as to even name it "Buford" even though it wasn't actually my dog, in my heart it was and always will be. Now I have to wonder if that man who lives on Snowden Branch will have a concience and be able to live with himself for hitting Buford for no reason? I know I couldn't if it was me. Yes, I am still very upset over that and I will think about it everytime I see this man take his walks on Quicksand Rd. I was watching Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN a couple weeks ago, there was a story called....."A Killer Looks Back" about a 16 year old boy in Alaska who shot his principal and a class mate. His name is Evan Ramsey and what really got me was the fact that he claims that he did not know that he had shot these people until the shooting was over with. I find that very hard to believe because the boy was plenty old enough at the age of 16 to know what he was doing. He knew enough to get the gun and bring it to school and shoot not one but two people. He knows enough to now try to blame it one the type of music he listened to and the violence that he watched in the movies. If he knows all that, he also knew how to get up and turn those things off if they were bothering him that bad!! In my way of thinking if he was REALLY sorry for the things that he has done, he wouldn't be on CNN glorifying it now. If I was ashamed and sorry for something like that, I wouldn't even want it mentioned around me and I sure wouldn't talk about it on CNN. But as always that is just my opinion!!!!! I need to start doing some work on my website http://browneyesky41339.tripod.com I started it mostly for my family who I don't get a chance to talk to very much, but I have also put stories on there about people and places that I have known in my life. As most of you know I am a very family oriented person. Check it out if you get time and please be sure to sign the guestbook. Would like to say a "special" Hello to Bobby Jo Freeman in Chicago who reads Ky Mt News. Thanks Bobby Jo for the nice comments that you have given me, it is always nice to here positive things about myself. It's people like yourself that made me want to start writing. I am awfully proud to say that OH now has a cd available of his music, you can pick one up at Jiffy-Mart here in Jackson or buy mail at...OH Napier..P.O. Box 392...Jackson Ky 41339. I was very proud to be able to make the first cd for him. He does a wonderful job and I just love the "gravel" in his voice. You can hear samples of his songs by visiting his website http://ohnapier.com and also read more information about his history books. I just want him to know that I am so proud of him and all his talent..... "Happy Birthday" to Jennifer Jones on May 2nd....Jenny is a great neighbor and a wonderful person. In the following picture is Jenny's grandson Gregory "CHASE" Hays who will be graduating from Breathitt High School on May 8th, 2006 He sure looks awfully proud pictured here in his cap and gown doesn't he? Chase is a sweet guy who I know will go far in whatever life holds in store for him. Congratulations and great job Chase!!! Sis's Section: Hope everyone has had the chance to get out and enjoy this nice warm weather. Well at least in between the raindrops. I like this time of the year because everything is starting to bloom. The only thing that I wish is this weather would make up it's mind if it is going to stay this way or not because it sure makes it hard on a person with allergies as bad as mine. I am looking out the back door as I write this and I can see all the pretty flowers starting to come up, like the ones down in Jenny Jones' flower bed. She sure was awfully proud and happy when she showed them to me a couple of days ago. I have been watching a new show called..."Little People, Big World" that show just fascinates me because you see all the challenges that the family goes through with them being dwarfs. In some ways I know what they go through at times, because with me being so tall it has caused me to have some challenges in life. Try being 6'1 and going to try to buy a pair of jeans that fit you good. If they fit good around the waist they always seem to be too short in length or vice versa. Even in some cars and trucks it is hard to actually have enough leg room. To be totally honest I have never in my life had a bed that was long enough for me. So in a way I can imagine what they must go through only it's the other way around for me. Been working hard on getting OH's first CD out,OHNapier..."The Man and His Music" they are available now at Jiffy-mart in Jackson, or you can also check out his website at http://ohnapier.com to hear a sample of some of the songs. I have also put together a website of my own http:browneyesky41339.tripod.com mine mostly has stories about people that I have met in my life and things that have happened to me a long the way. While you visit please be sure to sign my guestbook and let me know what you think. The following picture is of OH and Lacy Miller on the day that OH went and got his drivers license back. I have seen many people who were happy about things in their lives, but I do believe that OH was the happiest person that I have ever seen in my life on that day. Lacy is our neighbor and he sure has been awfully good to us. In fact on Easter Sunday we all had pork chops and sweet potatoes, I remember when I first asked Lacy if he liked pork chops he said..."There is nothing better than pork chops or chicken" I hope everybody at some point in their life is lucky enough to have a neighbor like Lacy Miller. Sis's Section: Was sure glad to make it through April Fool's Day without having any tricks played on me, seems like every year somebody gets a good one on me some way or another. My family and friends have always been able to play great pranks on people. But this year they seemed to have let me slip by. Had a great time visiting with my cousin Bea {Howard} Young as she payed me a surprise visit on Friday along with her two sons Tommy and Todd. Bea is the daughter of Bill and Hazel Howard and sister of Cluster Howard. Bea and her sons live in Plymouth Indiana now, so I do not get to see them very often. Bea, it sure was a great time visiting with you and I hope to see you again soon. I am sure glad that the weather has finally warmed up, but as I was going through Jackson last week I saw three car wrecks, in fact I saw one person being put on a stretcher. I have no idea who the woman was but I hope she is OK and I wish her the best. I guess with the warm weather and people out traveling more now, it is bound to happen. Accidents such as these are one thing that I hope not to see again this season or any other time. I want to say Hello to Crystal who works at Sav-A-Lot, she is the daughter of my friend Tammy Wyatt and she sure is a sweet girl. I sure hope I got your name right, as I was very pleased to meet and talk to you. Also want to say Hello to my friend Brenda Freeman in Chicago who reads the Ky Mt News. Tell your Mother in Law that I sure do appreciate the nice comments that she gave me. It always helps to hear nice things. Tell Ashleye that I said hello and she is my "Buddy" because she always makes me laugh when I talk to her. Because she just speaks her mind and tells it like she sees it. The following picture is of me and Wanda Turner {Kbear} as she goes by on the breathitt message board. I think a lot of Wanda because she is a caring person who tries to help everybody. Seems like no matter how "bad" I might be feeling, she can always bring a smile to my face and make me realize that things aren't always as bad as they may seem. Actually she and I met online in 2005 and have been friends since then. Sis's Section: Today is my cousin Aaron Hounshell's birthday, as soon as I got up this morning I thought about him, he was such a special part of my life. There are so many memories that I have of Aaron and me, I swear if anybody didn't know better they would have thought that we hated each other by the way we were always picking on each other. In fact if you notice in this picture he has the word "SIS" written on the sign, imagine my surprise when I recieved this picture in the mail. It made me feel good and when I saw the picture I had to smile thinking about the way he would be laughing if he saw that look on my face. When I called to ask him why he did this he replied, "I always wanted for us to have a picture taken together." and then he would just roar with laughter. Aaron had a laugh that could fill a room. I gave him the nick name "ACME" which I learned in my childhood by watching road runner cartoons "ACME" means the Best and in my heart Aaron was the best cousin I ever had. sadly he passed away on October 13th, 1998 and nobody knows the void his passing left in my life. "Happy Birthday in Heaven Aaron" and I swear I will never forget you as long as I live. Would like to say Thank You to Steve Bowling down at the Breathitt Library, I called to ask Steve if he had the book called..."They Cage The Animals at Night" and luckily they did and Steve set it aside and I was there within the hour to pick it up, well Steve that was yesterday and I already have most of it read, I guess that you have figured out that I will be in a lot more often as I LOVE to read. I cannot imagine not being able to read, and I am so glad that every county finds the funds to provide a Library. Would also like to say Thank You to Lacy Miller for being such a good neighbor to us. He and I know that we are related somewhere down the line, but as of right now we have not quite figured out how, all I know is my maternal grandmother was also a Miller. Don't worry Lacy one of these days we will figure it all out, at least I hope so. I have started working on a website of my own http://browneyesky41339.tripod.com it was been up and working since March 9th and so far I have been realy pleased with all the nice comments that I have gotten on my guestbook. We have also been invited to a Breathitt board, it's a myfamily.com website its by invitation only to recieve an invitation you can contact Pat Caudill the administrator of the board. It is full of great historical pictures and articles, I really enjoyed all the great pictures, I was surprised to find a picture of my maternal grandmother Laura Howard on there. Well folks, I better get this in before I miss another deadline, Sis's Section: I usually try to find something good to start off with in my article, but there has been something on my mind for the last week and I feel that I have to talk about it as it has really bothered me. You see last Sunday I was sitting reading a book and just happened to look out my window and saw this man walking out of Snowden Branch and down old Quicksand Rd The neighborhood beagle dog was following a little ways behind this man. I call him the neighborhood beagle because he nevers stays home and seems to be friend everybody around here. Well, on this day as I said he was following behind this man when all of a sudden this man looks behind and notices that the dog is behind him, the man kicked that poor little dog in the head and knock him back on his behind right into a sitting position. Still to this day I cannot figure out for the life of me why on earth this guy wanted to hurt that poor little dog, it was doing nothing but walking down the road the same as he was. Now I have to wonder how this man would feel if I was walking down the road and he happened to be behind me and all of a sudden I just kicked him in the head for no apparent reason? Apparently Asians do not like dogs very much or at least this particular man didn't. As always this is just my opinion. Now on a brighter note,...I got a surprise phone call from my Mother in Indiana last night, she wanted to tell me that I am going to be and Aunt again for the 5th time!! As of right now my sister has 3 boys and a girl and is expecting again in December. Although I would love to have 1 child, I cannot imagine having 5...I feel that in this day the way the world is, it hard enough and a lot of worry to raise one child much less 5? Seriously folks, I am very happy for her and I hope and pray to God that it is healthy just like the other four...it's just a lot to think and worry about. In the following picture is my little "Buddy" Jesse Dylan Napier with his academic achievement award. Your Daddy and I are very proud of you Jesse and can't wait for you to come back and see us.
