| Letter to the Public: Jackson City Girls Softball Coach, Danny Fugate; The Jackson City LadyTigers had a very good 2005 Softball season. Our final record was 12 wins and 3 losses. Our Junior Varsity went undeafeated. I am very proud of each and every girl on the team as they showed the best example of what sportsmanship is meant to be and had fun doing it. No matter what the final outcome of each game, they held their head high and congratulated or got congratulated. A team with this attitude comes far and few in between and I am proud to have had the pleasure of spending the 2005 season with this group. Many memories were made and will be talked about for years to come. I have my own just as each girl has their own as well as the fans that travelled with us. I want to thank Mr. Spencer, Mr. Yount and the entire Jackson Independent School for having trust in the coaching staff. Thanks to the fans that travelled with us along with our bus drivers Jim and Cecil and those that couldn't be at the games and listened to Bill and John on WJSN. I want to wish the Seniors that are leaving the team the best of luck and invite them back to share their knowedge with those that will be playing next year. Their leadership excelled this year, which in turn made the coaching easier. Thanks to Hargis and Chrissy for accepting their positions and thanks mostly to al the girls who gave their all this year. Lastly, I want to congratulate Breathitt on their win and on behalf of the entire team, wish them the best in Regional play. Danny Fugate |

BOBCATS ROAR THROUGH KYLE MACY TEAM CAMP ! 7-6-05 The Lee County Bobcats and a host of other teams converged on the campus of Morehead State University for the 2005 Kyle Macy Team Basketball Camp last weekend. After a grueling series of games played on and around the campus on Friday and Saturday, the Camp Tournament was held on Sunday. It would be an understatement to say that Coach Wrights’ Bobcats had an impact on the camp, as the Varsity Squad advanced steadily to the Championship game against the North Laurel Jaguars, where Lee County fought hard but lost by 3 points. This was their only loss during the entire weekend and they were the Varsity Team Camp Runner Up. Coaches Drake and Angel struggled at times on Friday and Saturday with the Freshmen team, but defeated some very good squads on Sunday to advance to the Final game against a highly favored, number 1 ranked, undefeated North Adams (Ohio) Green Devils team. The Devils were led by their star 6'4" center, Tyler Rothwell. The Bobcats ignored the odds and soundly defeated North Adams, capturing the 2005 Kyle Macy Team Camp Championship by a score of 52 to 38. Congratulations to all of the Bobcats and to their dedicated Coaching staff! Photo Here Kyle Macy Team Camp Freshmen Champs !
